DESCRIPTION
DESCRIPTION
The W257 multifunctional front lamps are a distinctive series of lamps, distinguished by their unique design. W257 lamps come in various light configurations, they can fulfil the functions of: driving light, front position light, as well as side position light, depending on the customer's choice and needs. The unusual modules of the front position light with logo and side marker light, consist of neon lenses.
The W257 series lamp is 7 inches in diameter. The external lens has been reinforced with a layer of special coating which increases scratch resistance and reduces tarnishing of the lens. In contrast, the lamp bodies were created from high-quality aluminium, double protected against corrosion.
The lamps W257 meet all approval requirements, including electromagnetic compatibility. They also meet the IP6K9K standard for moisture resistance and dust ingression. In addition, they are fully LED, and therefore energy-saving, as well as universal voltage, operating in the range of 12 – 24V.

INSTALLATION & CARE
INSTALLATION & CARE
With today’s high-quality lighting offering excellent dust and water sealing, lamp failures are rare. One common cause is water tracking through unsealed electrical connections, causing the copper core to blacken. Using waterproof plugs and sockets (superseals or Deutsch connectors) and adhesive heat-shrink sleeving and terminals can prevent this issue.

Condensation
A small amount of condensation inside a lamp can occur naturally due to changes in temperature and humidity and is not considered a manufacturing defect.
As lamps warm up during operation, moisture present in the air inside the unit may condense when it comes into contact with cooler surfaces such as the lens. Products fitted with breathers are designed to minimise this effect by allowing airflow and pressure equalisation.
To ensure correct operation, breathers should be kept clear and free from paint, dirt, mud, or other obstructions.
Paint & Surface Finish
Damage to painted or coated surfaces caused by environmental factors such as road salt, grit, sand, chemicals, oxidation, or debris is considered external damage and is not covered under warranty.
Regular cleaning and maintenance are recommended, particularly in harsh operating environments.
Installation & Mounting
Products should always be mounted securely and in accordance with the manufacturer’s recommendations.
Installing lamps onto bull bars, push bars, light bars, or aftermarket mounting systems may increase vibration levels beyond normal operating conditions. Excessive vibration can lead to premature wear or failure of brackets and fixings, which is not covered under warranty.
Care must also be taken when tightening plastic mounting points or housings. Over-tightening can cause stress fractures or breakages and will be regarded as installation damage rather than a product defect.
